Turn a bottle into a lamp

Have you ever been able to keep nice bottles of alcohol without knowing what to do with them just because they are pretty? I propose a super simple project to recycle: transform a bottle into a lamp!

Necessary material

A shade that "fit" on a light bulb
A glass bottle with its cap
A drill
A wick for the glass (big enough for the electric wire to pass through the hole)
A rotating socket (it is sold kit with the socket and the electric wire to connect to the wall)


How to turn a bottle into a lamp

To pierce the hole in the glass bottle, immerse it in the water. With the drill, make a hole at the base of the bottle.

Also drill a hole in the bottle cap. You must make a hole big enough to fit the black base of the socket. Then screw it into the cap.

Pass the wire through the hole in the bottom of the bottle, pull it out through the neck and insert it into the base of the socket. Screw the metal base of the bushing onto the part screwed into the plug.

Follow the instructions to assemble the rotating sleeve and lay the wire. Be careful, we are talking about electricity!

Once the socket is assembled, all you have to do is put a light bulb and the shade.
