8 ways to decorate with family photos
The pictures of families are a must in our homes and it is always nice to expose them. Here are 8 simple ways to reinvent this classic decoration.
Large format photos
The photos are printed in very large formats to create a large visual impact on a wall. By placing them as a mosaic, it creates an interesting and perfect focus for a room in the basement or even in a hallway.
On a wire
And if we tinkered a little? By using wooden boards, old frames, pliers and wire, you can really create a display of photos that can be changed according to the time of year, seasons or special occasions.
Washi tape framing
The small sticky tape rollers with printed patterns that we call "washi tape" will make you pretty original frames without making a mark or hole in your wall. By varying the colors and pattern, create a unique "glamor".
In a rope
And to create an effect in size while matching photos of families, we install screws on the wall and we play a game of rope wrapped around the screws. Nothing remains to use leaf clips to hang your most beautiful photos.
In glass jars
Here is a "recycle" idea that I like! We simply place our potted photos and drop them in groups to create a stronger visual impact.
In an old window
For those who like the vintage look, an old door or window found in flea market will make you a very nice family photo display. By grouping together several doors or windows, one can easily dress up a big wall of descent of staircase or a wall with a very high ceiling.
Under a tree branch
Rustic and simple at the same time, this idea is perfect for a corridor. One could also paint the branch in white or colored for a child's room, for example.
A wall of frames
Finally, we must remember that the idea is to use family photos to create a strong point of visual attraction and make a gallery of memories. Do not forget that we keep the walls of family photos for more intimate or less happening spaces such as stairs, corridors, basements and games room. Installing color or all black and white photos is always a good idea for the uniform effect it brings.
